Product Description
The HAI by Leviton Home Theater Extender 2 (HTX2) lets users control their home theater equipment from an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch using the HAI by Leviton Snap-Link Mobile for iPhone app, or by using an HAI by Leviton OmniTouch 5.7e Touchscreen. Users can extend their connected home control system to the home theater. Users can create custom remote control pages for controlling their home theater equipment, using graphical images or templates. The completed design is then uploaded to an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch. When using HAI by Leviton Snap- Link Mobile for iPhone, each audio/video device or remote control will appear in the room that is being controlled by the user. Easily set lighting, adjust temperatures, and control all home theater equipment from this single application. The HTX2 works with HAI by Levitons IP-based Touchscreen, the OmniTouch 5.7e, to control home theater equipment. HTX2 configuration requires HAI by Leviton Automation Studio Software (sold separately) which is also used to develop the Touchscreens custom graphic interface. The HTX2 can be used with an OmniTouch 5.7e stand-alone. This feature provides the option of control without an HAI by Leviton home control system. Contact closures can control window coverings, lights, and home theater components. HAI by Levitons customizable IP-based OmniTouch Touchscreen sends commands to the HTX2, which in turn controls A/V equipment using its serial ports, IR ports, and relays. The HTX2 includes four IR flashers (emitters) that attach to the IR receiver of any A/V equipment you wish to control. The I/O ports on the HTX2 are used for power sensing on devices without discrete on/off IR commands. Relay ports on the HTX2 can be used to control any device that requires a contact closure, such as motorized screens or blinds. Expansion is easy, as there is no limit to the number of HTX2 devices that can be used in an installation.
